Sam Salmon For Town of Windsor

District 2 Councilperson

Dear friends, neighbors, and Town of Windsor residents,

My name is Sam Salmon, and it’s been my pleasure to listen to you and serve the Windsor community since 1994. I would like to continue to serve you in the role of Councilperson in the 2nd district, which is the North East region of Windsor.

  • With 30 years of experience, I believe I make a valuable difference as a Councilmember by contributing historical perspective, carefully listening and asking questions, and responding thoughtfully to the needs of our entire community.

  • I would be grateful for you to provide me the honor of continuing to work with our Town Manager, staff, and council to achieve, and build upon, a vision of what we are and what we strive to maintain.

  • It is my goal to respond thoughtfully to the needs & desires of our entire community. I believe I have been successful at this thus far.

  • I hear Windsor wants to remain family friendly with small town character. We have much to be thankful for and there is room for improvement. We must address increasing cost to both the town and residents. We cannot afford to lose our longtime dedicated community members and their children due to rising costs of living. Our quality of life in this beautiful town is why we remain, happy and healthy.

  •  I fully support and acknowledge the importance and value of our many Town businesses; I am interested in exploring various options to bring more people to our businesses.

  • Careful and thoughtful management of the Town’s revenues and expenditures is essential and long term planning a must. The Town is currently completing an Economic Development Strategic Plan. I am involved and invite you to become involved to meet this need.

  • Affordable housing is a challenge that we need to solve, so our young people can live and work in their hometown. We are losing community members who are leaving Town to be with their children and grandchildren who can’t afford to call Windsor home. Taking steps to solve this is a priority of mine.

  • I've been listening to the Windsor community and serving at your request since 1994. I hope to continue serving you as your District 2 councilperson.

Thank you in advance for your support & for your vote!

Your friend, neighbor, and fellow resident,

Sam
